Basics of digital communication

Care
Topic: Care techniques for infants and people with disabilities.

GoalSkills for basic care measures such as diapering, personal hygiene and dressing.
Block 3:
Pedagogical principles
Topic: introduction to pedagogy, child development, social pedagogy.

GoalTeaching basic knowledge of pedagogical work, understanding of development processes and application of socio-pedagogical concepts.
Block 4:
Legal and ethical principles
Topic: Child and youth protection, data protection, ethics.

Further training as a "learning and development assistant" prepares you for various professions with children. This gives you the choice and keeps you flexible.

Here are some of the positions you will be qualified for after completing the training:

School companion/iN

also as integration assistant, inclusion assistant, school assistant, participation assistant
You will support pupils with special educational needs in everyday school life and promote their integration into the classroom. Your tasks will include accompanying them in class, helping them with their school work and promoting their social skills.

Nursery helper

(also childcare assistant, educator assistant, educator assistant):

Nursery assistants look after children in daycare centers, organize activities and promote early childhood development.

After-school caretaker

(also OGS supervisor, all-day supervisor):
In after-school care centers or open all-day schools, you look after school children after school, help them with their homework and organize varied leisure activities that promote their social and personal development.

Housekeeping assistant

Housekeeping assistant
(also as a housekeeping assistant):
As a housekeeping assistant, you are a valuable member of the team in daycare centers and schools. By helping to prepare meals and maintain the premises, you create a pleasant environment in which children can feel comfortable and develop.

Childminder

(also as a childminder):
As a childminder, you look after a small group of children aged from a few months to three years, sometimes older, in your own home or in rented rooms. You promote their development through individual care, education and upbringing and work closely with the parents. This activity is carried out independently and requires a care permit from the youth welfare office.

Childcare worker in a private household

(also as a private childcare provider):
You support families directly at home with the care of their children. You promote their development through individual support and playful activities. Many parents rely on this professional help to balance work and family life. State support is available for families who need help due to special circumstances.
